1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how PaceBook collects, uses, discloses, and stores information when you use pacebook.app and related services (the “Service”).
This policy does not cover third-party services that you may access through the Service (such as Strava). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information in three categories: (A) information you provide, (B) information from connected services, and (C) information collected automatically.
- Account information (e.g., name, email if provided by your sign-in method).
- Date of birth (used to confirm eligibility).
- Messages you send to support.
If you connect Strava, we receive the data you authorize through Strava’s API scope. This may include activity history and activity details (for example: start time, duration, distance, elevation, and heart rate metrics if available in your Strava data).
We use that information to generate your training journal, summaries, trends, and other Insights.
- Device and browser information (e.g., IP address, user-agent, basic diagnostics).
- Log data (e.g., pages requested, timestamps, errors, performance signals).
- Authentication and session metadata used to keep you signed in.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- provide, operate, and maintain the Service;
- connect and sync with Strava (or other services you authorize);
- generate summaries, trends, and Insights from your activity history;
- secure the Service, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot issues;
- communicate with you about support requests and important service notices;
- improve product quality, reliability, and user experience.
5. Strava and Third-Party Connections
If you connect Strava, you can revoke access at any time through Strava’s settings. Revoking access may limit or disable Service functionality that depends on Strava data.
Third-party services operate independently. Their handling of your information is governed by their terms and privacy policies.
6. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Service and for legitimate business purposes such as security, dispute resolution, and compliance. We may retain aggregated or de-identified information longer.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Choices and Rights
- Access and updates. You can review and update certain information through the Service.
- Disconnect Strava. You can revoke Strava access in Strava’s settings.
- Support requests. Email work@leothom.com for account support, deletion requests, or questions about this policy.
9. International Users
PaceBook is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., you understand that information may be processed and stored in the United States and other locations where we or our service providers operate.
10. 18+ Only
The Service is intended only for individuals who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice (for example, via the Service or email) and update the effective date above.
